ON THE EDGE: THEATRE || VOL. 6
Well, well, well...here we again, waiting to see the stage come to life with stories we know like the back of our hands and those that are new to us and pique our interest. There are a couple theatre shows that have me sat on the edge of my seat in anticipation so far; one showing this weekend and the the other in two weeks...

WHEN I FEEL LIKE CRAP I GOOGLE KIM KARDASHIAN FAT
First up is 'When I Feel Like Crap I Google Kim Kardashian Fat' by the Mighty Heart Theatre which will be showing at HOME as part of their festival, PUSH 2016 (14 Jan - 24 Jan). I saw these ladies perform for the first time last year and I am looking forward to seeing them on stage and discussing self-esteem issues us women tend to have that make some of us google Kim K fat when we feel like crap. So if you are in the Manchester area this week and are looking for something to do then whey not swing by and catch a production by some of the North's finest theatre companies and artists. Also, I may have even done a mini audio "review" with HOME telling why I think you should check out this particular show... Gosh! Don't I sound weird? Ha!

MACBETH
And the second one on my list of shows to see is Birmingham Repertory Theatre, HOME and Young Vis' co-production of Macbeth which is directed by Carrie Cracknell and Lucy Guerin. Last year I saw Justin Kurzel's take on William Shakespeare's famous piece on the silverscreen and I am eager to see the same story told in a new way on stage. Starring Anna Maxwell Martin (South Riding), whom I loved in Becoming Jane, as Lady Macbeth and John Heffernan (Oppenheimer) as Macbeth, this show is available for all to see in February (2 Feb - 6 Feb).

Who knew the days would come where I won't feel out of place queuing up for a theatre ticket? Not me that's for sure but I love being surprised by my ever-mutating taste. What shows are on your list to see this year? I think I might scour the National Theatre's website for upcoming live screenings as I do love those!
