MOVIE MONDAYS: IRON MAN 3

Out of all the Avengers I think Iron Man has to be my favourite.

I must state that I am not a die hard Marvel comic fan so I don't know the complete back stories of all the Marvel heroes. I am basing my judgement on the movies solely ok? I thought I had to state that upfront.

Now, back to the movie

I watched this the day of my "Date Night" but I thought it deserved a separate post. I found this installment to be the best. Why? Because I got to see Tony Stark not as Iron Man but as a man. The film was riddled with emotions, action, vulnerability, jokes, science, beautiful men and women. I have heard people say that they didn't like the movie because it wasn't realistic and I was shocked. To me, Iron Man is the most realistic Avenger. A dude who is a genius and is one with math and science? That is both hot and very realistic in my books.

The cast of this film was top notch as always. Robert Downey Jr., who reprised his role as the narcissistic yet lovable Tony Stark,  is an absolute legend. Gwyneth Paltrow reprised her role as the smart, tolerant, stubborn and beautiful Pepper Potts. Rhodey, the colonel, was played by Don Cheadle which kinda confused me as I swear Terrance Howard played this character in Iron Man (2008). I never remember Iron Man 2 for some reason. I guess I have to go watch that again. Jon Favreau (Couples Retreat; People Like Us; Iron Man 1&2), Guy Pearce (Prometheus; The Hurt Locker; The Road) and Rebecca Hall (Dorian Gray; Vicky Christina Barcelona) also made an appearance in this movie and their characters were definitely interesting. The one character that I did love a lot was Harley, the young Tony Stark in the making. He was so funny!

If you have not seen this movie yet, I suggest you take some time out of your week to go have an awesome time at the cinema.

Till next time!

Luv, Mo
