What a show!
I mean, I am and will always be a HUGE David Tennant fan but I do have to say that the other actors in this show definitely pulled their weight. In my ever so humble opinion (lol), the cast of this show, as well as the story-line, make the show epic. Every character has baffled me at one point or another. Each episode bares no resemblance to what I had imagined it to be about.
Let me tell you more about the show:
It is a short crime-thriller-drama series that only consists of 8 episodes *cries* (I hope they change their minds on that). The series shows us that when dire situations arise, doubt and fear can push the trust between people to the limits.
It stars David Tennant (Dr Who; HP and the Goblet of Fire; Hamlet) as DI Alec Hardy and Olivia Colman (Peep Show; The Iron Lady) as DS Ellie Miller. Jodie Whittaker (One Day; St Trinian's) Beth Latimer, the mother of Danny. There are a host of other actors who deserve to be mentioned but I'll leave you to find out more about 'em as the one I've listed here are the ones I recognised immediately.
The chemistry between all of the actors in this show is so good that my eyes are glued to the screen every time it becomes available on ITV iplayer. I wish I could write such a gripping story. Ok, I highly doubt I could write about this particular subject matter as I'd be crying the whole time I write it. But I would be grateful if I could write something that captivates my audience every step of the way.
I think it is an absolutely brilliant show. If you have a spare moment one evening, take a little sneak peek and see what you think? I don't want to over hype it to the point that your imagination exceeds that of the creators of this show and then you become heavily disappointed so I shall stop talking now.
